Good morning crafters!! How are you this morning? Today I’m sharing a cute little spinner card using the “A Little Wild” stamp set and coordinating dies. They’re really cute and perfect for a spinner card as there is a front and a back to each animal in the stamp set and the coordinating dies cuts them both out as one piece. They’re perfect for New Baby cards, kids birthday cards or just cute cards for animal lovers.
To create your card blank, score and fold an A5 (half of an A4) piece of Crumbcake cardstock in half. Then cut 2 pieces of Whisper White cardstock down to 1/4″ smaller than your card front. Stick one of these inside your card
Tape the other piece of Whisper White cardstock to the front of your card with washi tape or another temporary adhesive, then cut a circle using your layering circles dies through both the Whisper White card and your card front. Make sure that the circle is big enough to hold your chosen animal. Use the same circle die to cut a circle out of a scrap of crumb cake cardstock, then cut around this with a larger scalloped circle die to create a circle frame.
Remove the piece of Whisper White cardstock from your card front and emboss it using your large spots embossing folder.
Stamp the bear (or other animal of your choice) from the A Little Wild stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock and colour it with your Stampin’ Blends. Then use the coordinating die to cut it out. Fold it in half so that the front and the back of the bear’s body match up, then glue the two sides together, adding a piece of cotton between the two layers before glueing so that it will spin. Tape the two ends of the cotton to your card front, one at the top and the other at the bottom of the die cut circle, then cut off any extra cotton. This will leave your animal in the centre of the circle. Glue the embossed piece of Whisper White cardstock onto your card front (this will hide the taped bits of cotton) and then add your scalloped frame around the die cut circle.
Stamp your sentiment in Black Momento Ink, then cut around it using the stitched square die that frames it. Cut a scalloped square just bigger than your sentiment square from Crumbcake cardstock and glue your sentiment to this.
Cut two of the leaf border pieces using your Little Loves framelit dies from crumbcake cardstock, and add these to the bottom of your card with the sentiment in the middle covering the join.
