Good Morning Crafters!! How are you this morning? What type of cards do you send the most? I send a lot of Thank You cards and Birthday cards, so these are what I make the most of, and today I’m sharing two similar Thank You cards – the version without colouring is simple enough to create a lot of, so would be perfect for bulk making, whereas the other one takes more time, but I really enjoyed making it as I LOVE colouring!! The colouring doesn’t take too long though as there isn’t loads of it. I used Accented Blooms as my stamp set today – it’s beautiful and creates a real statement to a card, so you really don’t need to add anything else if you don’t want to.

So here are our cards for today:

And the beautiful stamp set…

Tutorial – Accented Blooms Thank You Cards

I’m going to do one tutorial for the two cards as they’re so similar, so to create the card base, score and fold a 10″ x 5″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in half.

Next, cut one 4 3/4″ square piece and one 4 1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Take the small floral stamp from your Accented Blooms stamp set and stamp two corners of the larger piece of cardstock with Crumb Cake ink, then glue this to the inside of your card.

The final layer that you need is a 4 1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. Brush this layer over with your Embossing buddy, then stamp the large floral image onto this layer using Versamark ink. If you have a Stamparatus or other stamp positioning tool, I would really recommend using it for this project so that if you don’t stamp perfectly the first time, you can stamp over the top to achieve a perfect image.

Once you’re happy with your image, pour White Embossing Powder over it, shake off the excess, and melt it with your heat gun. Then, repeat these steps to stamp and heat emboss the Thank You sentiment on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.

Cut out your sentiment with the coordinating Tailored Tag punch.

If you are making the coloured version of this card, now is the time to get out your Stampin’ Blends to colour the image (you can see the colours I used in the product listing below if you wish to use the same).

Glue your floral layer to your Whisper White layer, then add this to your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (I tend to use the “waste” pieces from around the outside of the Dimensionals for larger layers like this). Then, complete your card by adding your sentiment using a few extra Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
