Good Morning Crafters! I hope you’re having a lovely week! Mine’s been very busy so today I’m sharing a quick and simple Christmas card using the Add a Little Glitz stamp set. I hope you agree that the Gold and Cherry Cobbler colour scheme adds a touch of elegance though?!
I love this stamp set – the text is gorgeous and the images are simple and easy to use in a variety of ways. Read the tutorial below to see how I made today’s project…
To create the card blank, take an A5 piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and score and fold it in half. Cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheet to 1/4″ smaller each way than your card front, and another piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock 1/4″ smaller than that.
Wipe your Embossing Buddy across the piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock that you cut to go on top of the gold foil piece then use Versamark Ink to stamp the star from your Add a Little Glitz stamp set randomly across it. Sprinkle Heat and Stick Powder over the top, then heat this using your heat tool. As soon as the powder’s melted, forming a glue, sprinkle gold glitter over your stars.
Stamp the “May your season Sparkle” sentiment in versamark ink onto a spare piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Sprinkle it with Gold Embossing Powder and melt the powder using your heat gun. Cut around the sentiment using one of your Layering Ovals Dies, and then cut a piece of Gold Foil sheet to sit behind it using a larger scalloped oval die from the Layering Ovals set.
Layer up your card as shown in the image, lifting your sentiment up using some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
