Noooooo…. I can’t believe that my last Sale-a-Bration Blog Post has come around already!!! I can’t believe how quickly the last 3 months have gone!! But I’m also excited as I’ve just placed my final Sale-a-Bration order and so have some more goodies coming to play with (I’m particularly excited about the Pop of Pink Stamp Set and the Cool Treats Bundle that I’ve ordered as I’m ready to step into Summer now we’ve had a few days with a little sun!).

Today’s card project uses the Avant Garden stamp set – it’s a really pretty one with a couple of different styles of flowers and 3 great sentiments. I used the “Happy Birthday Wishes” one stamped in Basic Black ink, and cut out with the second smallest of the Stitched Circles from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. I then backed this with a circle of black paper cut with one of the Circle Layering Framelit Dies.

To create the card, I took an A5 piece of Basic Black cardstock, scored it and folded it in half. Next, I layered a piece of Melon Mambo card measuring 3 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ on top of this, and then a piece of Whisper White measuring 3 1/4″ x 5″ on top. Decide where you want your sentiment to sit, then, with the flower stamp and Melon Mambo ink, stamp a flower onto a spare piece of Whisper White Paper, and then without re-inking, stamp the flower around where the sentiment will go. Do this several more times until you have a small wreath of flowers around the spot where your sentiment will go. Then do the same with the leaf stamp and cucumber crush ink, just stamping a few leaves here and there around your wreath. Cut some of the flowers and leaves that you stamped on your spare piece of Whisper White out, then stick a few of these with glue, and a few with Stampin’ Dimensionals around the wreath to add depth and colour.

I finished the cards with a few gold sequins stuck on with our Mini Glue Dots.

I also cut a piece of Whisper White paper for the inside of the Card and did a bit of stamping to decorate the inside as below.
