Beautiful You Handmade Birthday Card created by UK Stampin' Up Demonstrator Sarah Phelan for Sarah's Stampin' Retreat using the Beautiful You stamp set from Stampin' Up!
Good morning crafters! I hope you’re well! When I was making today’s card I was looking through my stamp sets as I wanted to use one I’ve not used in a while, and I re-discovered this beauty – Beautiful You! I don’t know why I’ve not used it for so long – I absolutely love it!!
Product ListI’m also playing along with Freshly Made Sketches for my card today, so I used their layout to create my card.
Read on to get the tutorial and full shopping list.
Start by creating a 5″ square card base by scoring and folding a 10″ x 5″ piece of Basic Gray cardstock in half.
Cut a 4 3/4″ square piece of floral paper from the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper pack and glue this to the front of your card.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3″ x 3 3/4″ and stamp the dancing girl from the Beautiful You stamp set on it in black ink. Colour it using Stampin’ Blends – I used the ivory and the Highland Heather duo.
Cut a piece of Basic Gray cardstock 3 1/4″ x 4″ and mount your girl on top of it. Add this to your card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads).
To complete your card, heat emboss the Happy Birthday Gorgeous sentiment on a strip of Basic Gray cardstock using white embossing powder, then glue it across the bottom of the card, using foam pads on the left hand side so that it sits evenly on the card. If you’re not sure how to heat emboss, watch my Beginner’s Guide to Heat Embossing HERE
