Hi, I hope you are having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend! Today’s project is a simple one; very quick to make and perfect if you’re in a bit of a rush but want to create an impactful card! It uses the Big on Birthdays stamp set which, if you regularly read my blog, you will know is a set that I use on many of my cards. It’s full of great Birthday sentiments, from big and bold such as the one we’re using today, to small and simple where you want something else to take the focus. I also used the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper. You could use any background paper but I love this pack and as it’s retiring at the end of May it’s a great price at the moment – only £7.00 – but only while stocks last!
To create the card, stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment with the flowers in Basic Black ink onto some Whisper White paper. Use Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Write markers to colour the flowers and leaves on the sentiment. Use a paper trimmer to trim around the sentiment, and back it with a piece of Old Olive cardstock 1/4″ larger than your sentiment each way.
Create a card blank using an A5 piece of Old Olive cardstock folded in half. Cut a piece of the stripey Designer Series Paper 1/4″ smaller than the card front. Mount your sentiment on top with some Stampin’ Dimensionals and your card is complete! You could make a whole range of these using different pieces of the Designer series paper! You can get 6 cards per DSP sheet, so you could get 72 cards from a pack!!
Please see below for a full list of products used to create this card, and click on them to shop in the store.
