Hello Crafters! How are you this morning? Today’s card combines old with new – the Butterfly Gala stamp set from the current catalogue with the Ornate Layers dies that are part of the pre-release from the new catalogue.
This is a great card for using up scraps of cardstock you have lying around – you can create colour combos that fit whatever you have to use up!
Product ListRead on for the tutorial and full shopping list.
To create the card blank, score and fold an A5 piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock in half. Then, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 1/4″ smaller than your card front.
Cut 1/2″ strips of black and white cardstock and glue them in stripes across your Whisper White rectangle, trimming off any bits that overhang.
Stamp your sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock and cut it out using one of your Ornate Layer dies.
Stamp 3 sets of butterflies in black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and colour them with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. Cut them out using the Butterfly duet punch, then stamp bodies onto them using the coordinating stamps.
Add your sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads), then glue the butterflies around it. Add some sequins to finish off your card.
