Good Morning Crafters! This morning I have another Christmas card to share with you. I have combined some of the Carols of Christmas stamps and dies with the Be Merry Designer Series Paper to create this simple but rather lovely card! Before we start on the tutorial, I have put some pictures of the Be Merry DSP and the Carols of Christmas Bundle, and a link to the beautiful new Holiday catalogue so that you can take a look at what we’re using.
To create your card base, score and fold a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock measuring 11″ x 5 1/2″ in half.
Layer on top of your card front a piece of garden green cardstock measuring 5 1/4″ square and then a piece of the starry paper from the Be Merry DSP measuring 5″ square.
To create the topper for your card, stamp the Deck the Halls sentiment from your Carols of Christmas stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink. Use your largest Stitched Square die to cut around the sentiment. Then, use the scalloped Layering Square Die that is a size larger than your square sentiment to cut a piece to sit underneath it in Garden Green cardstock. Adhere your sentiment to the Garden Green scalloped square.
To complete your topper, use your Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the holly stamp from your Carols of Christmas set. I coloured the leaves in Garden Green and the berries in Cherry Cobbler. Breathe on the stamp to reactivate the inks before you stamp onto Whisper White cardstock, and you get a beautiful 2 colour image. Do this twice, and cut out your holly with the coordinating dies from your bundle. Add these to your topper using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add your topper to your card.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
