Hello Crafters! How are you today? Are you a cat or a dog person? I’ve been playing with the Playful Pets DSP (patterned paper) again and made this cute cat birthday card, but if your recipient is more of a dog person you could easily add in some of the dogs from the same paper pack instead. My favourite cat is definitely the one at the top that’s trying to catch the mouse! He looks very mischievous!!
Playful Pets Designer Series Paper [152489] £10.75
To create the card base, score and fold an A5 (5 7/8″ x 8 1/4″) piece of Real Red cardstock in half. Then, cut a piece of the Playful Pets DSP with the text on 1/4″ smaller (5 5/8″ x 3 7/8″).
On a small piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the Happy Bday greeting from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set in Real Red ink and cut it out with your scissors. Back this with a piece of Real Red cardstock that’s a little bigger.
Create small (1/4″) strips of Real Red cardstock to be “shelves” and add them to your card, then cut out some of the cats from the Playful Pets DSP to go on them.
Add the cats and the sentiment to your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads), then finish your card by adding a few red gems.
