Christmas Cards

Create Your Own Christmas Diorama Card

Hello Crafters! How are you? How cute are these gnome dies from Spellbinders?! I decided to use them with the Winter Splash quick backgrounds to create a cool diorama card. Creating dimension in the background and then popping up the gnomes gives loads of depth and makes for a really fun card. This one is a 5″x7″ card, so larger than the ones I usually make. I really like that the two gnomes are such different sizes, so the larger one is such a statement, even on a large card like this, and the small one goes nicely beside it, but would also look nice if you cut a few and put them on a smaller card. There are also lots of accessories to go with them, such as snowflakes, a heart and a nordic-style deer. It’s also nice that there’s nothing specifically Christmassy about the gnomes themselves, so they could totally be used all year round!

Check out the video tutorial for this card below. You can find links to any of the supplies you need to create it at the bottom of the blog post.
