First Day of School Card created by Sarah Phelan from Sarahs Stampin Retreat using digital images from Polkadoodles
Hello Crafters! How are you? I thought I’d share some digital crafting with you today, creating a First Day of School card! It’s my first time ever recording my screen, so something new for me, but I wanted to show you how you can use Silhouette Design Studio to manipulate and print your digital images (even if you don’t have a Silhouette machine). I find it a useful program, and I also like to create a version of my card in the software to make sure that I like the look of it before I print and cut it (I show you how to do this as well).
It’s actually my son’s very first day of school in September, so we’ll be experiencing the “First Day of School” feelings very soon! I love this cute lollipop lady image but wanted to make it look 3D, so I cut 3 versions and then cut into it.
The paper and the image come in a huge big digital bundle of school-themed items, so you could mix and match the images and papers to create a card especially for the child that you’re making it for.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to create it. Please note that some of the products used may have been gifted to me by the relevant companies.
