Creating Frames With Your Embossing Folders

Hello Crafters! How are you? I hope you’re feeling relaxed after the festive season and ready for another year of crafty fun!! Do you have any crafty resolutions? Let me know in the comments below! Mine are to have a clear out, and to use up some of the things I have and make some room (and money) for some of the things on my wish list.

Today’s video is all about creating frames with your embossing folders. The good thing is, that once you’ve created the shim you need (which you can create with cereal boxes or old packaging!!) you can use it over and over and create a whole heap of cards! You could also use the “waste” for a shim with a different look! It adds a really nice contrast having some of the background embossed and the rest flat!

I created today’s card using the embossing folder from the January Embossing Folder of the month club from Spellbinders. I also added on flowers from the Small Die of the Month club, and a sentiment from the Glimmer of the month club. They all combine together really nicely! Spellbinders seems to choose a theme for the month (this month’s is flower/bee themed) and so whichever clubs you get, they all work together really well. I’ve also popped the link in the supply list for the Deluxe Caboodle where you can purchase all of the kits in one go, with a saving of 60%. While this won’t be in everyone’s budget, if it is in your budget, and you’re an avid crafter, it’s great value for money!!
