This cute easy handmade card is a great kids birthday card. It was designed by UK Stampin' Up Demonstrator Sarah Phelan for Sarah's Stampin' Retreat using the Dinoroar patterned papers from Stampin' Up!
Hello Crafters! How are you today? Do you have a favourite DSP (patterned paper pack) from the current Stampin’ Up range? I have a few, but I realised that although I am totally in love with the Dinoroar papers (they were one of the first things I purchased when I got the annual catalogue last year) I’ve only shared 1 card using them on my blog! So I set about putting that to rights and have made 5 lovely projects to share with you over the next couple of weeks, so I’ll just have to hope it doesn’t sell out before I’ve shared them all! I’d definitely recommend getting some if you have little people or dinosaur lovers to craft for – it’s great for both boys and girls! It’s a gorgeous mix of dinosaurs which are easy to snip out, and fun backgrounds!
Product ListThis card is super simple, read on to find out how to make it and to get the full shopping list!
First create an A6 card blank by scoring and folding a piece of A5 Lovely Lipstick cardstock in half.
Cut a piece of Dinoroar paper 1/4″ smaller than your card front and glue it to your card.
Cut a dinosoar out of the large dinosaur patterned paper using very sharp scissors for the best finish, then use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out a piece of Whisper White cardstock a little bigger than your dinosaur. Mount this onto a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock 1/4″ larger than your Whisper White piece.
Use lovely Lipstick ink to stamp a sentiment near where your dinosaurs neck will be (I used the “Happy Birthday” from Botanical Bliss but you could use any that fit), then add your dinosaur using Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads).
Use more foam pads to add your topper to your card and you’re finished! Very simple!
