Beautiful Bright Handmade Card created by Sarah Phelan from Sarah's Stampin Retreat as part of an experiment in colour using the colourology paint powders
Hello Crafters! How are you? I have some beautiful bright cards to share with you today! This was a bit of an experiment with colour using some paint powders that I was sent to use for this magazine commission. I was really impressed; the colours were so pigmented that I created some really bright and beautiful cards (although, as with most watercolour paint mediums, if I’d have added more water I could have had lighter versions of the same colours). I had A LOT of fun experimenting and seeing what different effects I could create with them! There quite a few brands that do paint powders, so perhaps you already have some in your stash?! These ones are pretty inexpensive and gave such a huge variety of looks. I even tried traditional painting with them! Do let me know which is your favourite technique!
The stamp set that I used for these cards is the beautiful one that came free with this month’s Creative Stamping Magazine. It’s really beautiful with lots of nature stamps and some vases to go with the flowers.
