Hello Crafters! How are you today? Today’s card is another of those that was very difficult to photograph (if you have any tips on how to get better photographs of shiny things I’d love to hear them – please let me know in the comments!). It’s lovely in real life and I hope you can get a sense of that from this picture! It features the gorgeous Feels Like Frost DSP from Stampin’ Up! which has photographic images like this one on one side and foiled patterns on the other. Because I wanted to make the most of the full image I made it a larger card than I normally make – it’s 7″ x 5″.
Feels Like Frost Specialty 6″ X 6″ (15.2 X 15.2 Cm) Designer Series Paper [150444] £14.00
To create the card blank score and fold a 7″ x 10″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock in half. Cut a piece of Silver Foil Sheet at 6 3/4″ x 4 3/4″, another piece of Night of Navy cardstock at 6 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, and then finally cut the piece of Feels Like Frost DSP to 6″ x 4″.
Add the Silver Foil Sheet to your card front, then glue the other two layers together and wrap a piece of Silver edged ribbon around them close to the top. Then add them to your card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads).
On a scrap of Night of Navy cardstock, heat emboss your sentiment with Silver Embossing Powder (my sentiment is from the Gift Wrapped stamp set). [Not sure how to heat emboss? Watch my video tutorial HERE]. Cut around it with a Stitched Rectangle die and add it to your card with foam pads.
Finish off your card by adding a few silver Metallic Pearls.
