Good Morning Crafters!! I’m sharing my final Sale-a-Bration card for the year with you this morning!! I’ve actually sneakily used two Sale-a-Bration products on one card – the butterflies are cut from the Botanical Butterfly DSP and the background is from the Speciality Lasercut DSP (you can buy this DSP as it’s an Annual Catalogue product or you can earn it through Sale-a-Bration). Don’t forget that today (31st March) is the last day you can earn a free gift for EVERY £45 you spend, so make sure you get your orders in to avoid disappointment!!
To make today’s card, you need to start by scoring and folding an A5 piece of Gray Granite cardstock in half to create the card blank.
Next, carefully cut the piece of the Delightfully Detailed Lasercut Speciality DSP with the leaves on from main sheet, leaving a small border around the leaves. Place it on a flat, non-porous surface (such as a silicone sheet) and spray it with some Water mixed with a few drops of Pear Pizzazz ink. Cover it with something to keep it flat and leave it to dry.
In the meantime, cut 3 butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly DSP (I used the piece with butterflies on a floral background to cut mine from).
Next, cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock just a few millimetres bigger than your piece of Lasercut DSP and then stick your piece of DSP onto it.
Cut a strip of Gray Granite cardstock the same width as your piece of Whisper White cardstock and just a little larger than the height of your sentiment. I used the “Just a Note” sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. Use an Embossing Buddy to wipe over your cardstock to remove any fingerprints, static, etc. then stamp your sentiment using Versamark ink. Pour over White Embossing Powder and shake off any excess, then heat it with your heat tool to melt the powder.
Add all of your elements to your card as shown in the main picture.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
