Hello Crafters! How are you today? Do you ever see a card that just really sparks your imagination? Well as soon as I saw the Forever Greenery suite in the new Stampin’ Up annual catalogue I just knew I had to use it to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) this lovely sympathy card from 3 In the Nest Creations. I used the Forever Fern stamp set layered with elements from the Forever Gold Laser-cut papers to create a similar effect to that that Chrissy got by layering stamping and heat embossing.
I just loved the layout and am really happy with how mine turned out, although it’s definitely busier than Chrissy’s!
To start your card create a card blank by scoring and folding an A5 (half of an A4 sheet) piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock in half.
Use Shaded Spruce and Just Jade ink to stamp images from the Forever Fern stamp set down the side of your card, then layer pieces of the Forever Gold Laser-cut speciality paper over the top.
Stamp your sentiment on a slim strip of Soft Seafoam cardstock with Shaded Spruce ink. Cut a strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock a little wider and glue the sentiment strip to it, then glue a thin strip of Gold Foil sheet to the bottom of the strip so that a small line shows underneath.
Add your sentiment strip to the card using dimensionals and finish your project by adding some clear faceted gems.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
