Hello Crafters! How are you today? I’m struggling to believe that it was 34 degrees a couple of weeks ago with this miserable weather!! Although it does make it feel a lot more reasonable to be making Christmas Cards now! For this one I’ve combined the Gift Wrapped stamps with the background papers and ribbons from the Wonder of the Season suite. I actually bought the Gift Wrapped bundle (there’s a fab coordinating punch that goes with the bow but I didn’t want an outline around it for this card so I chose to fussycut it) with gift wrapping in mind – I thought that it would be lovely decorating the tops of parcels and boxes all through the year, but it also works really well on this cute card!

Tutorial – Gift Wrapped Handmade Christmas Card

To create your card base, score and fold an A5 (8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″) piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock in half. Cut a piece of the ‘Tis the Season DSP 1/4″ smaller than your card front and wrap a piece of the green Wonder of the Season ribbon across the bottom and secure it around the back (doing this looks neater as there’s no cut edge).

Stamp 2 bows onto a spare piece of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Black ink and colour them with your Stampin’ Blends (Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler). Cut them out and stick them together using a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (foam pad), offsetting them to create the look of a double bow.

Heat emboss your sentiment on a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock using White Embossing Powder [not sure how to heat emboss? Check out my tutorial HERE]. Then cut it out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Add your sentiment to your card using some of the “waste” from your Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and then add your bow in the corner. Finish it off by adding a few red rhinestones.
