Good Morning! Did you have a lovely weekend? I hope you managed to make some time for some crafting! I didn’t manage to do too much as it was my nephew’s 2nd birthday. It was lovely seeing my family and going to the Sealife centre though!
Today’s card is very versatile – it uses the Hello You thinlet dies and the coordinating Crazy About You stamp set. I sat down and made loads at once, both birthday and Thank You cards. If you do this carefully, you can do two at a time as the waste from one card becomes the sentiment for the other!
The tutorial will talk you through making the Night of Navy card below, but as you can see from the main picture this works really well with different colours and sentiments.
Hello You Tutorial
For the card blank, take an A5 piece of Night of Navy cardstock, score it down the middle and fold it in half. Cut a piece of Whisper White paper to 14.5*10cm, and then a piece of Night of Navy to 14*9.5cm.
Using the “Hello You” Thinlet Dies, cut the “Happy” sentiment from the centre of the Night of Navy piece of card, and then out of a spare piece of Whisper White card – MAKE SURE YOU SAVE ALL OF THE INSIDE PIECES!!
Stamp the “Birthday” sentiment from the “Crazy for You” stamp set underneath the “Happy” that you’ve cut from your Night of Navy Card in Versamark Ink, then heat emboss it with White Embossing Powder.
Layer the Night of Navy piece of cardstock over the top of your 14.5*10cm piece of Whisper White paper with Fast Fuse, making sure there is plenty of glue in the middle of your white piece of paper where the sentiment will lie. Stick the White “Happy” that you cut out into the gap in the Night of Navy cardstock, and then use the “waste” from the Night of Navy Die Cut to fill in the gaps in the letters.
To finish, use Stampin’ Dimensionals to stick your topper to the card base.
