How To Create a Dreamy Floral Card with Beginner Watercolour Techniques created by Sarah Phelan from Sarahs Stampin retreat using floral dies from Altenew
Hello Crafters! How are you? Today I’m going to show you how to create a dreamy floral card with beginner watercolour techniques. I used super-basic techniques to both colour the flowers and to add the pattern to the background. And I’m talking your children/grandchildren could do it type of easy techniques! I decided to do this because I avoided watercolour for A LOOONNNGG time because I had this idea that you needed to be an artist to use them, but they’re actually really fun for adding a different look to your cards even if you only want to use them in very basic ways. They’re now a staple part of my craft arsenal.
The dies I used on this card are oldies but goodies! I’ve had them for ages but find myself going back to them over and over. They’re part of Altenew’s Craft-a-Flower range and so are super simple to put together and look really pretty when they’re done. As all of the parts of the flower are cut from white cardstock and then painted, it’s a GREAT way to use up some of those white cardstock scraps.
