Handmade Card showing how to use embossing powders with your layered stencils created by Sarah Phelan from Sarah's Stampin' Retreat with Wow Candy Buffet Embossing Powders
Hello Crafters! How are you? Today I’m sharing with you a way to use your embossing powders with your layered stencils. I love this technique because it stretches both your layering stencils and your embossing powders to give you different looks! I’ve gone for a tonal look for my card, but you can get so many looks from this technique just by changing up the stencils or the colours of embossing powders you use.
For my card today I’ve used a new trio of embossing powders from Wow! called Candy Buffet. They are beautiful glitter embossing powders in different shades of purple. Make sure you check out my video to see how I created a different, darker shade of purple glitter cardstock using my embossing powders to add to this card. I also used the Deco layered stencils from Concord & 9th. I just had to buy these because they create quick and easy backgrounds that go with a whole range of cards. I’ve never had any stencils from Concord & 9th before and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality – they’re really sturdy!
