Hello Crafters! How are you?! Today I’m sharing a fun technique for how to use your ink pads to watercolour!! I’m going to head this up by saying that I’m a complete watercolour beginner, this isn’t a technical watercolour tutorial, but I love the look, and so thought it would be fun to share this technique on how to watercolour with your ink pads. You don’t need any special equipment, just a paintbrush, water, and whichever dye ink pads you have in your collection (if you have re-inkers, even easier!!). I used embossing powder for this card to create a resist, but you could always stamp your image in an ink such as StazOn which won’t bleed if you mix it with water if you’d prefer a more outlined look.
This is the final card for level 2 of my AECP course, and I created this for the class Creative Watercolor Media which you can find HERE. This one definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, I love the look but water colouring definitely isn’t something that comes to me naturally!!
