Good Morning Crafters! I hope you’re looking forward to a scorcher of a weekend if you’re living in the UK?! What are you up to? I’m looking forward to having a barbecue!
Today the project that I’m sharing is the Father’s Day Card that I made my Dad. He loves his garden, so I wanted to make a card that reflected that but wasn’t too girly. I think I achieved it with this Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist colour scheme combined with the watering can and floral elements from the Just Add Colour DSP.
To create the card base, take an A5 piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, and score and fold it in half.
Cut a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 4 7/8″, and then a piece of the Lemon Lime Twist paper from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack measuring 5 1/8″ x 4 3/4″.
I created the Happy Father’s Day sentiment by stamping “Happy” and the “Day” part of the “Birthday” word from the Number of Years stamp set and then created “Father’s” from the Brushwork Alphabet stamp set. These were all stamped in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Next, I trimmed this cardstock down and framed it with a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock 1/4″ bigger than it, then a piece of Night of Navy cardstock 1/8″ bigger than that!
The watering can and floral elements are ones that I coloured with Stampin’ Write markers and cut out from the Just Add Colour watering can DSP. The colours I used were Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist with a touch of Berry Burst for the flower.
Once you’ve created all of your elements, layer them up using Fast Fuse and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
