Good Morning!! Have you been enjoying the Eastern Palace Suite cards that we’ve been making this week? I hope you have. Today’s the -final day of my week of Eastern Palace Suite projects, but this suite is going to be in the new 2017-2018 catalogue, so there will be plenty of projects to come. I can even see this used on Christmas cards!
Today’s project features the “Let’s Be Friends Forever” sentiment which I think is a lovely one to let a special friend know how much they mean. This is stamped in Fresh Fig ink in the middle of a 4″ square piece of card made from the Thick Very Vanilla cardstock that you get free with the Premier Eastern Palace Suite bundle. I then cut a square frame from Gold Foil sheets using the two largest squares from the Stitched Shapes framelit dies (one of my favourite sets that I use all of the time!).
To make the flower, I stuck one of the Gold Foil “Flower” stickers onto the Fresh Fig cardstock (both come in the bundle) and cut it out using the coordinating Framelit – I love that the framelits fit around the stickers as well as the stamped images! I then used the die that sits inside this one to cut the petal details, and curled the petals up with my thumb to get some dimension.
Use all of the dies in the red squares below layered inside each other to cut a doilie shape out of Gold Foil Sheet. It will cut it into the paper, so use some paper snips to just cut round the edge of this and snip the doilie out. I actually used the one that was left from the Stained Glass Window cards that I shared on Thursday, meaning that I used elements from the same die cut to make three cards!
I then cut a corner out of the doilie so that it layers under the frame.
Pop your frame up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and place it on an angle around your stamped sentiment. Place your cut doilie under the corner of the frame, and the flower on top of it. Use some of the circular stickers from the Vinyl Stickers in your premier bundle to decorate around the frame. Cut a piece of Fresh Fig cardstock to 4 1/4″ square and layer your card topper on top of this. Then create a 5″ square card from some of your FREE Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock and layer this on top.
