Light Up Your Cards – Cute Light-Up Birthday Card

Hello Crafters! How are you? If you follow me on social media, you’ll know that I recently joined the Chibitronics design team (if you don’t already, you can follow me on Instagram HERE). If you’re not familiar with them, they produce a huge range of circuit products, perfect for creating light-up cards! Their little lights are sooo tiny, they’re perfect for cardmaking, and the fact that you create your own circuits makes them so flexible – you can make them to be any size with as many or few lights in a huge range of colours!! For today’s card I decided to create a really simple light up birthday card using a circuit with only one light. This is my first time creating a light-up card and if you’re new to it too I thought it would be fun to learn together! So I chose the cute Party Animals stamp set from Lawn Fawn and decided it would be super cute if the candle lit up on the cake.

I haven’t created a circuit since High School but it was surprisingly easy – it even has a paper switch so that when you press on the balloon the light turns on! It was very satisfying, and all of the elements are self adhesive so very easy too! I take you step-by-step through how to build the circuit in the video, but I thought I’d also include a picture here in case that helps you to create your own!
