Magnolia Lane Handmade “Thinking of You” Card

Good Morning Crafters! I hope you’re having a lovely weekend! This time of year is super exciting and a little bit sad in the world of Stampin’ Up! It’s sad to say goodbye to old favourites like the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper that I’ve used on this card (near enough all of our patterned papers get re-freshed each year) but exciting to say Hello to all of the lovely new goodies in the new catalogue (which is completely fabulous!!). So if there’s anything you want from the current catalogue, this is the time to get it – the new one launches on 3rd June!

Today’s card is really easy to make, and the Thinking of You sentiment is perfect if you’re just sending a card to brighten up somebody’s day. Continue reading to get the tutorial and full shopping list!

Tutorial – Magnolia Lane Handmade “Thinking of You” Card

To create the card blank, score and fold an A5 sheet of Petal Pink cardstock in half. Cut two pieces of the Magnolia Lane patterned paper to 1/2″ smaller than the card front, then cut them in half from corner to corner creating triangles of cardstock (it’s a great idea to create 2 of these cards at once, then you can use the remaining triangles on your second card).

Cut a thin strip of Gold Foil Sheet and stick it diagonally across your bottom triangle, then stick the two triangles on the front of your card, leaving a gap down the middle.

Use one of the scalloped rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly die set to cut a rectangle from Whisper White cardstock, then stamp your sentiment onto it with black ink. Add the rectangle to your card with dimensionals (foam pads).

To complete your card, cut two flowers from the Magnolia Lane paper and add these on top of your rectangle with more dimensionals.
