Hello Crafters! How are you today? Today is my son Elliott’s second birthday, so I thought I would share the card I made for him. He’s madly into cars, so the Moving Along stamp set was the obvious choice for him, and I paired that with the Playful Alphabet dies, which are swiftly becoming a favourite of mine!
Elliott will definitely want to know what make the cars are – he loves to point out the different makes while we’re out on the street, so I think I’ll tell him these are Volkswagens, as they remind me a little of the Beetles. Check out the Rainbow Glimmer paper as well – I just used a bit that had greens and blues on it to go with my card, but it gives a lovely ombre effect, and you could go wild and make a whole rainbow from it!!

Tutorial – Moving Along Handmade Kids Transport Birthday Card
To create the card base, score and fold a 10″ x 5″ piece of Pool Party cardstock in half, then turn it so that it’s a top-folding card.
Use one of your Stitched Rectangle dies to cut out a rectangle of Whisper White cardstock and add this to your card front.
Put an Adhesive Foam sheet behind the green/blue part of the Rainbow Glimmer sheet and cut out “happy birthday” using the Playful Alphabet dies. You can do this in 2 passes through your die-cutting machine if you tape them all down, you don’t need to do each letter individually!
Stamp 2 car outlines and one helicopter in Memento black ink onto Whisper White cardstock then colour them with Stampin’ Blends. [There are actually stamps in the stamp set that you can use to colour these images if you prefer]. Then, cut them out.
Add your letters to the front of your card, then complete it by adding the vehicles with Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads).
