Poinsettia Petals Handmade Christmas Card

Hello Crafters! How are you today?! Today’s card combines some heat embossing, some colouring and the Poinsettia Petals stamp set! It’s a lovely one to prep a few of, then sit down in the evening and relax while you colour them and put them together. You could also create some different versions of it using the different stamps in the set – you could do some with the leaves like mine, some with the berries, and some with the flowers. The images are a good size too; they actually come on two sheets of stamps!

Tutorial – Poinsettia Petals Handmade Christmas Card

To create your card base, score and fold an A5 (5 7/8″ x 8 1/4″) piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock in half. Then, stamp and heat emboss the two leaves in a random pattern across the front of your card using gold embossing powder. [Not sure how to heat emboss? Watch our video tutorial HERE]

Using Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Markers, colour the leaves and background on the front of the card.

Heat emboss your sentiment with gold embossing powder on a spare piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock, then cut the cardstock down to frame your sentiment. Cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheet 1/4″ larger than your sentiment piece, and another piece of Shaded Spruce Cardstock 1/4″ larger than that.

Stick the layers for your sentiment together, then add them to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads).
