Pop of Paradise Thank You Card with a little glitz

Good Morning crafters! How are you? I made the card that I’m sharing today yesterday, and it was so much fun pulling out an old favourite stamp set; Pop of Paradise. I haven’t used it for a while but it’s such a fab set; I even used it for the background and the sentiment!

Pop Of Paradise Clear-Mount Stamp Set 141581 Price: £17.00

Tutorial – Pop of Paradise Thank You Card

To start this card you need to cut a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock to measure 10″ X 7″ and then score it in half to create a 5″ X 7″ card blank.

Then you need to cut all of your mats and layers; cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheet 1/4″ smaller than your card front, then a piece of Basic Black cardstock 1/4″ smaller than that.

Next, cut a 2.5″ x 4.5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock for your topper, and then a piece of Gold Foil Sheet 1/4″ larger than that, and a piece of Basic Black cardstock 1/4″ larger again.

To create the gorgeous gold background, stamp both leaves from your Pop of Paradise stamp set randomly over your larger piece of Basic Black cardstock using Versamark Ink. Then pour gold embossing powder all over, and heat it with your heat tool to melt the powder. I’ve been heat embossing for years and still feel as though it’s a little bit of magic when the embossing powder melts!

To create your topper, carefully ink up your flamingo with Melon Mambo ink on the body, and Versamark Ink on the beak and legs. Stamp this onto your small piece of Whisper White cardstock, then pour Gold Embossing Powder over the beak and legs and melt it using your heat tool.

Use Basic Black Archival Ink to stamp your sentiment onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, then use scissors to cut around it leaving a small white border round the outside. I used the Thank You sentiment from the Pop of Paradise stamp set but this card would be great for loads of occasions so you could mix and match the sentiment of your choice.

Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to stick the sentiment to the bottom of your topper, then layer the topper onto your small Gold Foil layer and then your small black layer to complete it.

Stick your large Gold layer, and your Gold embossed Basic Black layer to your card front, then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the topper to the centre of your card. Then your fabulous card is complete!
