Good Morning Crafters!! How are you today? Today I’m sharing a bit of #simplestamping with you with the gorgeous Floral Frames stamp set.
#simplestamping is a hashtag that Stampin’ Up set up to encourage people to share easy-to-make projects using just stamps, paper and ink so that beginner crafters with limited supplies have lots of inspiration, but actually as someone that’s been crafting for years I used this to challenge myself – I rarely make a card nowadays that doesn’t use die-cutting or punches, so it was actually a challenge to pare everything back and make something I was really happy with!!
But to be honest, the stamp set made it a lot easier for me!! How gorgeous are these floral frames?! I’m quite sad that this set is retiring – it’s only available until 3rd June (or while stocks last)!! It’s definitely one I’ll be keeping and using again and again for my personal cards once it retires!!
So, onto the tutorial – as it’s a simple card it’s also a short tutorial!!
To create your card blank, score and fold a 10″ x 5″ piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock in half. Next, stamp the large floral frame in the centre of your card front using Gray Granite ink. Stamp the sentiment of your choice in the centre of your frame, then simply colour your flowers and leaves (I just used 3 Stampin’ Blends – the Dark Daffodil Delight, the Dark Mint Macaron, and the Light Smokey Slate!!
I’d love to see your ideas for some #simplestamping!!
