Hello! And Welcome to another Sketch Sunday card! This week’s card uses the pretty Flirty Flowers stamp set and the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper. It also uses my favourite of the new In Colours – Berry Burst! Did you know that the ink inside the Stampin’ Write Markers is the same as the ink in our ink pads? This means you can do some lovely techniques like the one used for this card, colouring your stamps before you print with them for multi-coloured stamping!
The sketch for today’s project comes from My Favourite Things.
To start, create a card blank with an A5 piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock by scoring and folding it in half. Cut a piece of Berry Burst cardstock down to 1/4″ smaller than the card front and adhere it on. Cut a piece of Berry Burst paper from the pack of Fresh Florals DSP down to 3 3/8″ x 4 1/2″ and centre it on your card.
Use your Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the flowers on your Flirty Florals stamp in Berry Burst ink and use Old Olive to colour the stems, then stamp in the usual way to create 2 colour stamping. Cut the flower out using the largest of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies.
Cut a sliver of Whisper White cardstock, and stamp the small Happy Birthday sentiment from the Big on Birthdays stamp set in Berry Burst Ink. Use the triple banner punch to trim the ends of the sentiment and attach to the card over your flower using small Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
