Happy New Year!!
Welcome to today’s Sketch Sunday Project! It uses one of my favourite products from the new Sale-a-Bration Catalogue – the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper.
Have you taken a look at the new Stampin’ Up 2017 Spring/Summer and Sale-a-Bration catalogues? If not, the links are below. There are some BEAUTIFUL new products and inspiration in them, and the great thing is that you get to choose a FREE Sale-a-Bration product with EVERY £45.00 you spend on any of the products on the Stampin’ Up website!!
I LOVE colouring, and chose to colour my Sale-a-Bration Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper with the new watercolour pencils from the Spring/Summer Catalogue, using the blender pens to blend out the colours. The colouring is really simple, just press down harder with the pencil for darker shading, shade lightly where you want a lighter colour, and use the blender pens to blend the shades together.
I used the sketch below from Freshly Made Sketches for the layout for this card.
I cut down the DSP to fit onto an A6 card blank which I made using black cardstock, and used the same black card to cut two strips to go down the right hand side, and to make the “Thank” banner using the triple banner punch and a white embossed “Thank” sentiment from the Crazy for You stamp set. The “you” is cut twice using the die from the Hello You Die Set, once in black and once in white card stock, and I offset the black slightly on top of the white.
The best thing about this is that if you buy the Hello You die set and the Crazy for You stamp set used to create the sentiment, you can get the “Inside the Lines” DSP for free!
If you add in the Watercolour pencils, blender pens, white Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and the Triple Banner Punch, you’ll get to select a second Sale-a-Bration product for free!
