Slimline Card – Handmade Christmas Card with Wishes & Wonder

Hello crafters, how are you today? Today I’m sharing a slimline card for Christmas using the Wishes and Wonder stamp and die bundle from Stampin’ Up! It’s a really lovely one with dies to create gorgeus tags included too – I’ll definitely have to make some of them soon!

Wishes & Wonder Bundle (English) [155151] £44.00

Tutorial – Slimline Card – Handmade Christmas Card with Wishes & Wonder

To create your card base, score and fold an A5 (5 7/8″ x 8 1/4″) piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock in half lengthways. Cut pieces of ‘Tis The Season patterned paper to layer on top – the paper isn’t wide enough, so you will need one strip measuring 6″ x 3 7/8″ and another one measuring 2″ x 3 7/8″, cut so that the pattern lines up and you won’t be able to see where they join, then glue them onto your card base.

Cut a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock measuring 3 3/8″ x 7 1/2″ and heat emboss your sentiment in the bottom right hand corner with gold embossing powder [not heat embossed before? see our video how-to guide HERE]

Stamp two reindeer and the sleigh from the Wishes & Wonder stamp set onto a spare piece of Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colour them with your Stampin’ Blends. Use the coordinating dies to cut them out, then colour the white bits around the image with a Shaded Spruce marker (I used a Stampin’ Write marker because the nib is so fine).

Cut a small length of the gold cord [how amazing will this cord make your tags look?!] from the Wonder of the season ribbon combo pack and tape one end to the back of one of the reindeer and the other to the back of the sleigh.

Add both of the reindeer and the sleigh onto your card front and attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads). If the cord sticks up a bit then pop a little glue behind it on the reindeer and/or sleigh to keep it in place.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
