Good Morning Crafters!! How are you this morning? Do you have some lovely plans for the weekend? Today I’m sharing a simple, elegant wedding card, with a verse from the Special Celebrations stamp set at it’s centre.
The Special Celebrations stamp set is one that I find really useful, because it’s a double stamp set full of great sentiments and verses – perfect for the inside of your cards but I also like to use them as a focus for the front of my card as I have done on this one! I’ve kept the rest of the card very simple, with some stamping from the beautiful Butterfly Gala stamp set in the background.
To create your card blank, score and fold a 10″ x 5″ piece of Petal Pink cardstock in half.
Next, cut a piece of Grey Granite, and a piece of Whisper White cardstock 1/4″ smaller than your card front. Stick the Whisper White piece inside to create room for your message and stamp the Gray Granite piece all over with butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Gray Granite ink. The butterflies in this stamp set actually come in sets of two so that it’s easy to cut them out with the coordinating punch, but I actually cut mine apart to create two separate stamps (you can easily place them back together on your block if you need to use them together with the punch at a later date). Add this piece to your card front.
Stamp the wedding verse from the Special Celebrations stamp set onto some Whisper White cardstock, then cut it out using one of the squares from the Stitched Shapes dies. Cut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock to frame this sentiment, then add them both to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finish off with a bow using the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon.
