Today’s my first ever blog hop – I’m so excited! Some members of our lovely Stampin’ Up team are doing a Spring/Summer Catalogue Blog Hop; we’ve all made cards using products from this catalogue, so use the arrows at the bottom of this blog post to take a look at all of the lovely projects that have been made.
My project uses the Inside the Lines paper from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue, which you can select for free with any purchase of £45.00 or over. The paper’s coloured with the Brights and Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers. If you buy two sets of markers you could get the paper free and colour away to your hearts desire! There are 12 sheets of beautiful 12″x12″ paper in the pack for you to colour – that’s enough to make 72 card similar to this one!! The sentiment I’ve used is from the Window Shopping stamp set, and is stamped in Archival Black ink.
My card blank is made from an A5 piece of Thick Whisper White Card, and the matts and layers of black card and DSP are each 1/4 inch smaller than the last. Before I stuck the coloured Designer series paper down, I placed a strip of vellum across it and folded a little tab on each side around the back of the paper. I then stuck these tabs to the back of the designer series paper so that you wouldn’t see any glue through the vellum from the front of the project. I raised the stamped sentiment up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The thing I enjoyed most about this project was the no fuss colouring. I didn’t do any shading, just simple colour onto paper which I really enjoyed!
