Handmade Christmas Cards using a background technique as the focus created by Sarah Phelan from Sarah's Stampin' retreat using Spellbinders October Clubs
Hello Crafters! How are you? Today I’m sharing some Christmas Cards where the backgrounds are the star of the show! Some background techniques are just too pretty to hide behind a huge feature element, so I thought it would be fun to create some beautiful backgrounds and then just add small elements like frames and sentiments to finish them off. I’ve used the gorgeous October clubs from Spellbinders for these cards. They have a generally quite cutesy theme, but I chose to use them in a more traditional way for this video.
I’ve used all sorts of techniques for this video, from stencilling to hot foiling, and Betterpress to embossing. I know not everyone will have all of the things that I use, so I make suggestions along the way of things you can replace them with if you don’t have some of the equipment.
