Christmas Cards

The Best Way to Add Gilding Polish to your Embossed Images

Hello Crafters! How are you? Do you love the shine that Gilding Polish gives, but struggle adding it to your embossed images? I’ve love this look but ALWAYS struggled with getting a finish I’m happy with. But recently I thought I’d give the blending tools with the rounded edges a go, and they are an absolute game changer!! I LOVE the effect, and I think that it made this simple Christmas card really elegant!

This card is the first of my Christmas in July cards. If you create Christmas cards, do you love to get organised or are you more of a last minute person? July always feels very early to me, but I’m always sooo happy when it gets closer to the time and I remember I have some made already!!

I used a couple of the Spellbinders July clubs to create this card – the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month and the Stitching Die of the month. I decided to use the Stitching die of the month without the bits that add the stitching holes – I love that the two pieces are separate so that you can choose whether or not to stitch them! I will do a stitched version in a couple of weeks, but I LOVE this one with no stitching – it’s beautiful and really quick to put together! In fact, this whole card takes a minimal amount of time to create!
