Welcome Little One Handmade Baby Card

Good Morning Crafters! Have you seen the Welcome Baby stamp set from the new catalogue? It’s sooo cute! And it won’t break the bank either at only £14.00! I used it to make a new baby card for my friend which is the project I’m sharing with you today, but in case you haven’t seen it yet, I’ve put a picture of the stamp set and also a piece of adorable wall art that you can make with it from the Stampin’ Up catalogue below:

Tutorial – Welcome Little One Baby Card

To start, stamp the tepee image on Whisper White cardstock in Basic Black ink and colour it with Stampin’ Write markers. I used Soft Sky, Crumb Cake and Smokey Slate. Then, cut the image out using your paper snips.

Stamp the Welcome Little One sentiment onto Soft Sky cardstock using Versamark Ink. Use your heat tool and White Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment. Cut the piece of card down into a rectangle around the sentiment.

Next, cut a thin strip of Soft Sky cardstock 5 7/8″ long and use your scoring tool to score lines down it.

Create a card base by scoring and folding an A5 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock in half. Set out your cut pieces of cardstock as in the picture. Once you’re happy with the placement, take the tepee away and stamp a tepee in Crumb Cake ink directly onto your card base to the right and slightly up from where you want your white tepee to go. Then, move your sentiment and stamp the strip of triangles just under where your sentiment strip will go. Using the stars stamp and Crumb Cake ink stamp a night sky around your tepee. Layer up your cut pieces of card as shown in the image to complete your card.
