Birthday Cards

2 Cards from 1 Background – Ombre Heat Embossed Stencilling

Hello Crafters! How are you? Today I’m going to show you how to create 2 Cards from one ombre heat embossed stencilled background!

I’m going to use the Sweetie Jar Trio of embossing powders from Wow! to create a multi-coloured stencilled background, then we’ll stretch it across 2 cards! This ombre technique is so pretty! I love these as birthday cards, but I think that if you changed things up a little you could easily change them to be Christmas cards too! Wow! do a bunch of these trios of embossing powders, so you can really have fun and create all sorts of different backgrounds!

Creating the background with embossing powders instead of inks gives the card a real texture. Why not try it with glitter embossing powders to add some sparkle too?!

Check out the video below to see how to achieve this look easily yourself! You can find links to all of the supplies you need at the bottom of the post.

Please note that many of the products used in this post were given to me as a part of my design team work for Wow! Embossing Powders.
