Hello Crafters! How are you? Today I’m sharing some cards I created for the latest John Next Door Magazine Box Kit. It’s one of the magazines I often share that comes with a huge kit of crafty goodies (you can see the kit in full in the video) and you can see that it’s Christmas themed with a big focus on poinsettia and holly. My challenge was to show how to use the embossing folder in different ways. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll know that I LOVE embossing folders, so this was a challenge I was happy to accept. I really wanted to show how to stretch your embossing folders, so I’ve created cards with heat emboss letterpress, embossing folder masking, an inky technique, colouring and embossing on vellum! Sooo much fun!
I used a very traditional colour palette for these cards, but they would also look soooo beautiful in different colour combos. Maybe a dusky pink and sage green?! The kit for this magazine is beautiful and very versatile. I didn’t even use the paper pack! So many possibilities for endless cards!
