Create Your Own Shaped Cards

Hello Crafters! How are you? I’m happy because my little boy’s at home from school for a couple of weeks for the Easter holidays AND it’s lovely weather (which is always a little touch and go here at this time of the year!) so we’re having lots of fun outside! I’ve got a beautiful spring-like card to share with you today – it’s a shaped card that I’ve created with the large die of the month from Spellbinders. I created it in pretty spring colours, but I think this would be awesome without the flowers, and with the “letters” sentiment instead of the “hello” in red as a Christmas postbox – it’s perfect for all different occasions throughout the year!

I also like to think of how the elements can be used in different ways – you could definitely use the sentiments and flowers, the envelope and the little key (that I don’t have on my card) on different cards, but how about using the piece that the letters go into as an awning for a shop? In fact, if you removed the decoration under the “awning” and cut in some windows and a door, you could put the flowers “inside” and create a flower shop from this card!

Click the link below to see the video tutorial for all of these cards, then scroll to the bottom of the post to find links to the supplies you will need to create it!
