Dressed to Impress cluster birthday card

Hello Crafters! I hope you’re feeling happy today! Crafting definitely makes me feel happy, I’m so glad I’m a crafter! I love that it gives you space where you don’t need to think about anything other than what you’re making, and I also love the feeling of accomplishment you have when you make something you’re really proud of.

For today’s card I had another play with the Dressed to Impress stamp set. The plan originally was to create a no-line-colouring effect. It turned out that the grey shows up against most of the colours I used, but I was happy with the effect anyway.

Tutorial – Dressed to Impress cluster birthday card

Create a card blank by scoring and folding an A5 piece of Basic Gray cardstock in half, then cut a piece of the Best Dressed floral paper 1/4″ smaller than your card front and stick it on.

Stamp a selection of the images from the Dressed to Impress stamp set in Smokey Slate ink onto Whisper White cardstock and colour them with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. There are coordinating dies that you can use to cut these images out if you wish, but for this project I have fussy cut around them.

Cut one of the stitched nested labels from Basic Gray cardstock and add it to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add the stamped images on top of this shape, using glue for some and Stampin’ Dimensionals for others.

Heat emboss the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set in white embossing powder onto a scrap of Basic Gray cardstock. [HEAT EMBOSSING FOR BEGINNERS VIDEO CAN BE FOUND HERE IF YOU’RE NOT SURE HOW]. Add this to your card using some of the waste from the outside of your dimensionals.
