Handmade Cards with Inky Backgrounds created by Sarah Phelan from Sarah's Stampin' retreat using the Funky Flowers stamps from Polkadoodles
Hello Crafters! How are you? I’m sharing some bright and cheerful cards today, let’s hope the weather here in the UK takes the hint! I thought that these Funky Flowers stamps from Polkadoodles were so fun that they deserved bright colours and some fun inky backgrounds! And I know, I lost some of you with inky backgrounds! But I promise, these are fun and don’t require you to be a blending pro (although if you are, then they’re super fun too!). I like to think of cards like these as a “play” session, where you can just let loose and see what happens, there’s definitely no “right” and “wrong” with cards like these!
I use both distress and distress oxide inks for my blending in this video, but if you don’t have these inks, give the technique a go with whatever dye inks you have on hand.
You check out the video tutorial for all 3 of these cards below, or you can scroll a little further if you’re looking for the supply list.
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to create it. Please note that some of the products used may have been gifted to me by the relevant companies.
