Magnolia Lane

Large Magnolia Handmade Thank You Card

Hello Crafters! I hope you’re having a lovely weekend! Today I’m sharing my final card from the 2019/20 Annual Catalogue!! My post on Wednesday will be made with brand new products from the new catalogue – it’s very exciting but wow I’m going to miss this Magnolia Lane suite!! The stamps are carrying over, but the papers are retiring on Tuesday – they’ve been AMAZING to work with!

I think that the Stitched so Sweetly dies that I’ve used for both the floral layer and the sentiment piece are some of my favourite shape dies at the moment. I only purchased them in my last order, even though they were released in January, and I’ve used them loads already – definitely one to look at if you’re looking to add some more layering dies to your collection.

Tutorial – Large Magnolia Handmade Thank You Card

To create your card blank, score and fold an A5 piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock in half. Then, cut a piece of Basic Gray cardstock 1/4″ smaller than your card front.

Use the largest of the Stitched So Sweetly scalloped dies to cut out a piece of the Magnolia Lane paper, then add this to your card front.

Stamp the large Magnolia image onto some Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black ink, then colour it using Stampin’ Blends (I used Bronze, the Petal Pink duo, the Dark So Saffron and the Old Olive duo). Cut it out using the coordinating die and add it to your card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut any overhang off in line with the edge of the card.

To complete your card, stamp the “Thanks” sentiment from your stamp set onto a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock. Cut it out using the Stitched So Sweetly die and add it to your card with some foam pads (Stampin’ Dimensionals).

I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
