Hello Crafters! I hope you’re ok today and looking forward to a lovely weekend! This card is the last one I’ll be sharing using the lovely Peaceful Poppies DSP as it retires on Tuesday (although the stamps and dies are carrying over so I’ll definitely be sharing more with them!). It’s a lovely little window card, and with the patterned paper being pretty neutral, you could definitely replace it with another one if you’ve not managed to get your hands on the Peaceful Poppies.

My favourite thing about these Poppy Moments dies is that they’re layering dies, so by layering different shades of cardstock on top of each other you can create a lovely sense of dimension that really adds something to your cards!

Tutorial – Peaceful Poppies Window Card

Create a card blank by scoring and folding a 5″ x 10″ piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock in half. Then, cut a 4 3/4″ square piece of the Peaceful Poppies patterned paper.

Cut a circle in the centre of the patterned paper square using the largest of the circle layering dies, then glue the patterned square with the window cut out onto your card front.

Using the next largest circle die, cut a circle in the centre of your card front, making sure there is an even border inside your patterned circle.

Next, keeping your card closed, stamp your sentiment inside the circle using Memento black ink (the sentiment will be stamped on the inside of your card but you will be able to see it through the circle window on the front of the card).

For the poppy, cut the base layer from Real Red cardstock and the top layer from Poppy Parade, then cut a centre from Basic Black cardstock and glue all of the layers together. Create 2 leaves in a similar way, by glueing an Old Olive detail layer on top of a Granny Apple Green base layer.

Glue your poppy and leaves around the edge of your circle to complete your card.
