So In Love Valentines Card

I’ve called this card a Valentines Card, but really I think it could be used in all sorts of situations – Valentines, an anniversary, a Wedding Card even, and with it’s elegant look it’s very versatile! The main elements of this card come from the gorgeous So In Love Bundle – a beautiful stamp and die set. You can buy the individual elements separately but you save 10% by buying the two as a bundle!

To make this card, you need to start with an A6 card blank which can be made from half a piece of A4 thick Whisper White cardstock, scored down the middle with your scoring tool. Then you need to stamp the Hardwood Background Stamp in Tip Top Taupe Ink onto some Crumb Cake Card Stock. Next cut the stamped piece 1/4″ smaller than the front of your card blank in each direction.

Using the largest label die from the Tags and Labels Framelit dies, cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheet to create the backing for your sentiment. Stamp the “So In Love” sentiment from the stamp set in Versamark ink and heat emboss it with gold embossing powder. Cut around the sentiment with the second largest label framelit die, ensuring that your sentiment is placed centrally. Stick the sentiment piece in the centre of the gold label.

The final die cut uses the card wrap from the So In Love bundle which has the hearts on it. Cut this out of whisper White paper. Stick this die cut piece across the woodgrain piece of paper and cut down the edges of the die cut so that it is the same width. Place the sentiment in the centre of the die cut piece.

To finish the card, cut a sliver of Gold Foil Sheet to sit across the bottom of the wood grain piece and stick the decorated panel to the front of your card blank.
