Sketch Sunday – Lift Me Up Birthday Card

Today’s sketch Sunday uses the lovely Lift Me Up Bundle. The Stamp and Die Bundle is from the Spring/Summer Catalogue and the paper pack is from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue and so comes FREE when you spend £45.00! (You would only need to add the Night of Navy Cardstock or the Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad used on the card to the Clear Mount Lift Me Up Bundle to qualify for the free papers!)

I LOVE this set, it’s so dreamy!

The sketch for this week comes from Felt Magnet. As soon as I saw this sketch I thought it would be perfect for the Lift Me Up Bundle. The card is super easy to make too!

To make it you just need to create a 5” x 7” Card blank from a 10” x 7” piece of Night of Navy Cardstock. Next cut three pieces of the free Carried Away Designer Series Paper – the bottom one measures  4 ¾”  x 2 1/8”, the top left measures 3” x 4 ¼”, and the top right piece measures 1 ½” x 4 ¼”. Stick these pieces onto your card base, ensuring you have even spacing between the pieces and a border around the edge.

Cut 2 circles with the largest and second largest layering circle framelit dies. The largest should be from Night of Navy cardstock and the second largest from Whisper White. Stamp a selection of clouds from the stamp set on the Whisper White circle in Mint Macaron ink. Then stick the white circle to the centre of the Night of Navy Circle.

Stamp the largest hot air balloon onto a spare piece of Whisper White paper with your Watermelon Wonder ink and cut it out using the matching framelit from the bundle. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the balloon to your cloud circle. You can then use more Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach this topper to your card.

To finish the card front, stamp your choice of sentiment in Watermelon Wonder ink and cut around it using a trimmer. Cut a piece of Night of Navy card that is ½” bigger each way than the white piece, and attach your sentiment to this. Stick the sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To complete the card, cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 6 5/8” x 4 5/8” for the inside of the card. Stamp some clouds in Mint Macaron ink in the top left hand corner, and the small balloon in Watermelon Wonder ink in the bottom right hand corner. Stick this to the inside of your card to make the inside pretty too!
