Good Morning Crafters!! Do you have some lovely plans for the weekend? We’re going to Brighton for the weekend to see my in-laws so I hope it’s sunny so that we can go to the beach!!
Today’s card features the Varied Vases Bundle. The punch that comes in this bundle actually punches out a flower, but I decided to use different flowers from the stamp set and cut them out myself, and just use the punch for the vases.
To start your card, you will need to score and fold an A5 piece of Petal Pink cardstock in half to create your card blank. Then cut the following pieces, each one 1/4″ smaller than the previous: 1) Gray Granite Cardstock, 2) Whisper White Cardstock, 3) a piece of the Petal Pink Floral Romance Vellum.
Stick the vellum (using Snail adhesive so it doesn’t show through) on top of the Whisper White cardstock then wrap a piece of Gray Granite ribbon around the bottom of the two pieces, attaching it at the back of the whisper white panel. Layer all of your panels onto your card blank, and add a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 1/4″ smaller than your card front inside your card.
To create the Varied Vases topper, stamp the scalloped trim, the three detailed vases and their outlines, and the outlines of your 3 flowers in Gray Granite ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Fill in the petals on the flowers using the coordinating stamps and Powder Pink ink. Use your punch to cut out the vases, and then your Paper Snips to cut out your flowers and scalloped border. Die Cut the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelit dies out of Whisper White cardstock, then add all of your cut out topper elements to it, trimming the sides of your scalloped border to fit the circle, and popping the middle vase/flower up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. TIP: I found it easiest to glue the flower stems to the back of the vases and then add them to the card to ensure I was happy with the placement.
Finally, using the Well Said bundle, Die cut the word “happy” from Gray Granite cardstock, and stamp the “Birthday” sentiment in Gray Granite ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Trim the end of the “Birthday” strip with the Banner Triple punch and add both pieces to your card.
To complete your card, stamp the insert of your card with the outline of a flower and a detailed vase to make sure the inside looks pretty too!!
I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
