Arrange a Wreath

Wreath Builder Summer Wreath Handmade Birthday Card

Hello Crafters! How are you today?! Today’s card is a quick one created with the Stampin’ Up! wreath builder dies. It looks as though there is a lot of die-cutting with all of those flowers, but since you get two larger and three smaller flower dies in the set (as well as some other shapes of flowers and loads of other bits and pieces that you can use to decorate your wreath), you can actually cut all the flowers you need in one pass through your die-cutting machine!

I also just want to highlight the gorgeous greenery embossing folder in the background! This comes as a pack of 2 different foliage embossing folders. I love that they’re just the right width to create this gorgeous panel on the card front without matting and layering embossed pieces! This also means that they fit through some of the smaller machines!

Tutorial – Summer Wreath Builder Handmade Birthday Card

To create your card base, score and fold an A5 (8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″) piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock in half. Use one of the Greenery embossing folders to emboss a panel down the center of the card front.

Using the largest of the scalloped Stitched So Sweetly dies, die-cut a panel from Smoky Slate cardstock. You will also need to die-cut two wreaths – one from Gold Foil Sheet and the other from Soft Seafoam cardstock, and 5 flowers – 2 of the larger ones, and 3 of the smaller ones from Petal Pink cardstock.

Arrange the wreaths on the panel, glueing them down before adding the flowers with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add the panel to your card front with the waste from the outside of the Mini Dimensionals, then add gold Metallic Pearls to the center of the flowers.

Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock, then cut around it and add it to the card with your Mini Dimensionals.
