Best Dressed Simple Handmade Congratulations Card

Good Morning Crafters! This morning I’m bringing you another simple card that I created using the Best Dressed patterned papers. Have you been thinking about getting them? They’re on the retiring list, which means that once the current stock has sold through they will be unavailable. My favourite thing about them is that you can make super girly cards with the shoes/handbags/make-up/perfume, but there are also gorgeous florals which means you could use them to make cards for lots of different people. I’ve posted links below to some of the other projects I’ve made with these papers. Just click on the pictures to go to the projects.

Look out for another project coming at the weekend too!

Tutorial – Best Dressed simple handmade card

For your card blank, score and fold an A5 piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock in half.

Cut a piece of Best Dressed floral patterned paper, and a piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock at 2″ x 5 3/4″.

Use the Layered Leaves 3d embossing folder and your die-cutting machine to emboss the piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. TOP TIP: spray your cardstock with water before you run it through to create the best possible impression and stop your cardstock from cracking.

Glue both panels to your card front and then glue a strip of Blackberry Bliss cardstock (about 1/2″ wide) over the join.

Stamp the “Congratulations” sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock using Garden Green ink. Cut a rectangle around it, then layer this onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut out using the Stitched Rectangle die that’s a little bigger than your sentiment.

Add your sentiment to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam pads) and finish off with a few gems.

I hope you enjoyed this project. Click the links below to shop the products used to make it.
